Give Emon a second chance

My name is Emon, my parents  rescued me from a food court by the roadside , I was abandoned without my mum and siblings. I was 6 weeks-old when my parents decided to rescue me.

I live in a big family surroundings with my 35 rescued brothers and sisters, where we spend all day eating, playing and sleeping.

Few weeks ago I started to fell ill, I felt feverish, lethargic, lack of appetite and starting to build abdominal fluid, my mummy immediately rushed me to the vet and do the blood work. The result was heart-breaking I was diagnosed with wet effusion FIP.

Unfortunately, FIP has always been considered a fatal condition and officially it is incurable. It causes the blood vessels in chest cavity to become damaged, leaking fluid into the chest and restricting the ability to breathe. Thankfully, there is a new drug called Basmi FIP (GS 441524) a potentially life-saving drug that has been used to cure cats diagnosed with FIP. However, the medication comes with a high price.

As any parent would, my parents are willing to try anything to give me the life I deserve.

My battle to fight the virus will be tough but in the end it will be worth it, the medication regiment will require me to take daily shot for 84 consecutive days, meaning i will need roughly around 14 vials and the cost of each vial is RM 499. Total cost for the treatment alone is roughly RM 6,986. Luckily, under “Basmi Care” campaign by Basmi FIP, cases under crowdfundings on Kitafund.com will be given 50% discount. After the discount the cost be reduced to RM3,493

He is more active and cheeky and starts gaining weight, as his weight increase we have to increase his daily GS injection dosage. The cost of his medicine will also increase and we deeply appreciate your donations to help Emon
