A Heartbreaking Christmas: Help Our Elderly in Need

The image of a loving family gathered around in their golden years is a cherished dream. Yet, for many elderly individuals, this dream remains unfulfilled. Abandoned by their families, they face the harsh realities of aging alone, struggling to survive.

Meet Oma Sumi, a 76-year-old woman battling heart disease. To make ends meet, she sells snacks on the street. Each day is a struggle, filled with uncertainty and the constant fear of her health deteriorating.

Sadly, in nursing homes like Sahabat Lansia, many elderly residents face similar hardships. Abandoned by their families, they live in subpar conditions, lacking basic necessities like nutritious food and proper medical care. 

Oma Pariati, for instance, was left to fend for herself after being diagnosed with breast cancer, experiencing the chilling reality of hunger and neglect.

These elderly individuals, who have dedicated their lives to building our communities, now find themselves forgotten and alone. They deserve better. They deserve to live their remaining years with dignity, surrounded by love and compassion.
