Dear God, if I could ask for one thing, it would be to be healed from this cancer. I've already undergone 4 cycles of chemotherapy, with up to 24 sessions of radiation therapy and medication each, but these malignant cancer cells refuse to surrender! Now they've spread from the initial site in the roof of my mouth and nasopharynx to my liver, spleen, and even my bones. My cancer has reached stage 4...

Please, God, I want to be healed and return to providing for my beloved family...

Assalamu'alaikum, hello friends, let me introduce myself. My name is Ahmad Faisyal, but you can call me Ical. I'm a fighter battling stage 4 nasopharyngeal cancer with bone metastasis.

Before I fell ill, I worked as a surveyor, specializing in mapping buildings, factories, and other structures.

It all started in mid-2019 when I began noticing a small lump in my neck and experiencing frequent pain in my face, along with symptoms like fever and colds.

After undergoing medical check-ups and consultations with a specialist surgeon, I was initially diagnosed with tuberculosis of the lymph nodes, not cancer.

At that time, I was prescribed a 6-month course of anti-TB medication. However, instead of improving, my condition worsened.

The lump in my neck grew larger, and my overall health deteriorated. Eventually, I sought a second opinion, and a new doctor recommended a biopsy of the neck lump.

On January 21, 2020, the biopsy results revealed undifferentiated carcinoma—a type of cancer. I was devastated. Faced with the prospect of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, and lacking knowledge and family support, I initially chose not to undergo treatment.

All I could think about was my family, especially since my father had passed away from cancer. I thought to myself, "If I don't work, who will provide for my mother and siblings?"

Unfortunately, that decision was a mistake. My health continued to decline. I also began experiencing severe abdominal pain. Eventually, I had to resign from my job because my body couldn't cope anymore.

When I finally went to see a doctor, it was revealed that the cancer had spread to my liver and spleen, necessitating immediate chemotherapy, which couldn't be delayed any longer.

In 2021, I briefly felt better and was permitted by my doctor to work. I tried working as a salesperson at a mobile phone store and also worked part-time as a café singer.

However, it didn't last long. After about a month, my health problems resurfaced, especially in my abdomen, with even more intense pain than before. It turned out that the cancer had spread even further, particularly affecting my spleen.

I was advised to undergo another round of chemotherapy, which marked my third cycle, using different medications. I could only cry in front of the doctor's desk...

Entering 2024, I've already undergone 4 cycles of chemotherapy, each consisting of 21-33 sessions. Several times, chemotherapy had to be temporarily halted due to unbearable abdominal pain.

My hair fell out, and I experienced nausea and vomiting after every meal, causing a drastic weight loss! I've collapsed several times in public, requiring hospitalization after each chemotherapy session due to its overwhelming effects on my body.

Until now, the cancer continues to relapse, and I haven't been declared cancer-free...

To afford treatment, I've been working as a digital marketer at a motorcycle dealership. Unfortunately, there's no fixed salary as it depends on the number of approved loans. Therefore, I also work part-time as a café singer.

Towards the end of this year, my condition has worsened, with complaints of severe back pain that's difficult to control even with analgesic medications.

The doctor found the cancer had spread to my spine. Once again, I have to undergo bone-targeted therapy, which doesn't cure but only strengthens the bones' defenses against fractures and reduces the pain.

I experience excruciating pain 24 hours a day. Since the beginning of 2023, my quality of life has drastically declined. I can no longer work outside the home, and it's extremely challenging to engage in activities outside.

There have been many unexpected expenses throughout this journey, including accommodation, pain medication, vitamins, milk, hospitalization costs, monthly health insurance premiums, and much more.

My hope is that you, my friends, can help alleviate my burden so that I can continue my treatment, afford my routine medications, and cover the chemotherapy drugs not covered by insurance.
