Food for the Stateless during MCO

"When I visited their homes, I realised all they had were rice and salt."

The majority of the refugee community are daily waged workers, and with MCO, they would not be needed at work and hence, they won't be getting an income. Following that, without a salary, they struggle to have enough to buy any food. 

Yet, it is true that there are many NGOs out there fund raising and building a strong support system for food distribution to help the needy. That being said, due to limited resources, some communities are being side-lined nonetheless. 

This fundraising on Kitafund aims to support 3 different refugee organisations during this MCO period, so that this community, which includes children, won't starve.

The organisations include :

1. Mon Refugee Children Handmade Books, No.68/B, Jalan Landak off Jalan PuduKuala Lumpur, Malaysia 55100

2. Pertubuhan Pusat Kebajikan Destiny, No 10, Lorong Sambau, Taman Chi Liung, 41200 Klang

3. Chin Student Organisation, 20B, Jalan Alam Jaya 15, Taman Alam Jaya, Cheras, 43200 Kuala Lumpur, Selangor

We aim to raise RM26,500 to support them with the essentials for 265 refugee families from these 3 organisations.

*For disaster and emergency campaigns, Kitafund waives our 5% platform fees. The fees that will be deducted from the total amount raised will only be the payment gateway fees. The payment gateway fees when a donor pays through: 

• Razer (Molpay): RM1/transaction
• Paypal: 3.9% + RM2/transaction
• E-wallet (Grabpay, boost, TnG): 1.4%
